This is a serve that's becoming very popular. Timo boll uses this technique very well, and you can create a sidespin or sidespin / topspin serve. It's also referred to as the reverse pendulum serve. However, it is difficult to keep the ball short, so always try to vary the placement, and you can do that very easily with this technique.
